Peekaboo Magazine & The Family Photoshoot {Brisbane Family Photographer}

I am so lucky to be working with the amazing Bianca Shugg on her new magazine Peekaboo.  Peekaboo Magazine is home delivered monthly to Paddington, Ascot, Norman Park, Bulimba, Balmoral, Hawthorne and Newstead.  There is also another 11,950 copies available via local baby / children’s shops and subscription (email bianca@peekaboomagazine.com.au if you would like to be added to the subscription).   I received my box of mags yesterday and I have to say (without being biased of course) that this magazine is just oozing style and class and it really is one of it’s kind in Brisbane.

The official launch for the magazine is on Sunday at Mathilda’s Markets which is held at Brisbane Racing Club Eagle Farm www.mathildasmarket.com.au – come along and say hi to Bianca and grab your copy of Peekaboo.

Just over a month ago I was lucky enough to spend the afternoon with Bianca and her adorable family including her Nan who was here on holidays!    Here are some of my favs from the day!  I will also be blogging some photos from some of the photoshoots I have done for Peekaboo Magazine and more weddings!  Just need to find a few more hours in the day!

Ashleigh & Scott's E-Session {Brisbane Wedding Photographer}

Last Sunday, on a stormy day, I had the pleasure of meeting Ashleigh and Scott.  I am shooting their wedding on the 21st November and as I was down at the same location for Kylie and Billy’s wedding I thought it would be a perfect opportunity to meet up. The weather had other ideas for our photoshoot but we were lucky enough to get a few moments in to get some lovely images of this beautiful couple.  I literally met them and had to say “quick, lets run and get some shots before it starts pouring” – talk about getting to know each other very very quickly.

Ashleigh and Scott are going to be totally adorable on their wedding day if our quick shoot was anything to go by.  They really adore each other and I hope my images show this!

{Guys I can’t wait to see you on the 21st and be involved in your special day}.

My First Win – "2010 Our Greater Springfield Calendar' Photography Competition

I am very excited to announce that I have won the Professional Photographer Category in the “2010 Our Greater Springfield Calendar’ Photography Competition. This is a local competition run by Paula McKie with images being used in a 2010 calendar. All images submitted had to have been taken in the local area. The calendars are being sold for $10 each and all the money goes towards Ipswich Koala Protection Society The Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation, Canceer Council Queensland and Woodcrest State College.

So yah for me (not often I do brag posts) as it was the first competition I have entered. My image is being displayed on the May page (River Play) and they have also used another one of my images in the calendar.

Below are the images that won me this award (River Play – the image after the certificate).

Kylie & Billy's Wedding Day {Brisbane Wedding Photographer}

The day was finally here – Kylie and Billy’s Wedding Day. After so much preparation and excitement, Kylie and Billy sealed their love with a beautiful ceremony witnessed by family and friends. I was lucky enough to have Adam Bolt from Adam Bolt Photography join me to shoot Kylie and Billy’s wedding and while he got some amazing getting ready photos of the boys, I hung out with Kylie and the girls and got some beautiful photos of Kylie looking just like a perfect princess. All my brides are beautiful, but Kylie was just out of this world stunning (I am not biased lol).
{Kylie and Billy – thank you so much for having me as your photographer – being a photographer for another photographer was very interesting lol.  Kylie you looked so so amazing and I am totally honored to be your friend – love you to bits!  Have a fantastic honeymoon}

I have so many great photos between Adam and myself so I thought just to do something a little different I would put together a slideshow for you to sit back and watch and get the real feeling of this amazing day!
