Wow what a year it has been. I am so excited about 2010 and can’t wait to see what it will bring. I thought it would be a good time now to look over some of my photos and share with you my top ten. I have SOOOOO many favs from all my sessions and every session is just as wonderful as each other – but these are just my really stand outs (IMO).

This photo was just taken at a fun photographers meet up but I just love everything about this. I love the way she is holding the flower, I love the vintageness of it, love the light – I love it all.

I just love the randomness of this shot – Ian decided he wanted to put a chair in the middle of the road and who was I to complain.

I love this photo because of the texture and it was the first photo that Shelton Muller commented on of mine : )

Driving along, see a field – drag sister out – her words “Na you are so random”. Glad I am random sometimes.

Just a fav – cause Ashley was an awesome bride : )

This is taken at Springfield Lakes which is close to where I live and when I first started going down there I hated it. The light was hard and I just didn’t enjoy it. But now I LOVE it and some of my fav images are taken there – this is one of them. This was also used in my advertising for Peekaboo Magazine.

Sweetness {Brisbane Newborn Photographer}

What better thing to do on Christmas Eve than to take some photos of a very cute little bubba boy.  Tamara and Clinton are friends of ours and I had promised them a newborn photoshoot.  Unfortunately time got away and we didn’t do a formal shoot so when they popped over I said “what better time than now”.  Nothing formal was set up we just shot these in my backyard and I think we got some lovely images considering the “conditions”.

{Tamara and Clinton congratulations again and I look forward to seeing you all soon}

Stephanie & Rod's Wedding Day {Brisbane Wedding Photographer}

On Sunday I had the pleasure of witnessing the wedding of Stephanie and Rod. Stephanie and Rod had both been married before so as 2nd weddings normally are, this was very low key but still very lovely full of love! The wedding was attended by approximately 30 family and friends. Stephanie booked her wedding with me over a year ago as my sister Kathy worked with her and they used to stalk my blog – so was fitting that Kathy would come along to help out on the day! Thanks Kath.

The ceremony took place at their home and the formal photos were taken nearby. As a photographer I was battling with many things that photographers really dread – the chance of a lot of rain and 10am sun with no shade (sun was coming in and out). In the end though I think we got some lovely images that I am sure will be treasured by Stephanie and Rod for many years.

{Stephanie and Rod, it was lovely getting to know you and I wish you much love and happiness for the future}

Here are some of my favs from the day.

Merry Christmas 2009 {Brisbane Family Photographer}

Well what a great year it has been even though it has gone much to quick.  Only seems like last week it was Christmas 2008.  I would like to take this opportunity to thank all my beautiful clients this year – it has been a pleasure getting to know you all and some of you I know will be life long friends.  And speaking of friends, I have had a great year of meeting some of the most amazing and inspiring people who I am now lucky to call my friend (people that I never dreamt that I would call friend).

I know 2010 is going to be an amazing year and I am so excited about the opportunities it is going to bring. I am also very very thankful to the opportunities I have been presented this year and the faith people have had in me – thank you!  Some of the exciting things for 2010 include setting up a viewing studio where I can display all products and some of my work, I have a number of commercial shoots lined up for first few weeks of January, working with Bianca on Peekaboo Magazine, weddings booked all year and hopefully lots of portrait shoots with snuggly babies and beautiful families.  I am also hoping to go down to Canberra to spend time with an amazing photographer who I have so much respect and admiration for so hopefully that will all go ahead (fingers crossed so tightly).  So yes, all very exciting.  Oh and I am also going to make a big effort to have more me time and no more 3:00am bedtimes – my friends know this happens way too much!

Because I know 2010 is going to be fantastic in every way I would like to offer a special incentive for you lovely Brisbane people to come and have a session with me.  Any session booked for January or February will not have to pay a session fee and will receive a complimentary 11×14″ print of your favourite image valued at $89. So tell all your friends about this great offer and update your family portraits hanging in your home for 2010!

Because I can’t blog without a photo and I have a recent session that I have to blog – here are a few images from a recent session with a very special friend who I photographed her wedding last year.  We didn’t get to do a newborn session however I think this age is still lovely as we get lots of smiles and nice big open eyes!  And Little Miss J is just TOTALLY adorable.  I am in a B&W mood tonight so all these images are in B&W which I really do adore. B&W images just seem to have so much power in them and really are timeless.

{Nic I hope you love these – see you soon lovely xx)

I will be turning my computer off after this blog post and not turning it back on for a few days. I just need to spend some focussed time with my family and have a bit of me time.  I do have a wedding to do on Sunday and some portrait shoots but these can wait to be blogged in 2010 I am sure.

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE.

Till next time

My Sis, Nephew and a FABULOUS location {Brisbane Family Photographer}

On Sunday I was driving with my sister after attending a first birthday party that I photographed and going to visit wedding clients and came across the most amazing location.  As soon as I saw it I just knew I had to stop and get some photos.  I actually said to my sister “damm, I wish I had my camera here”……her response ‘ “you do, you just took photos” – oh yes awesome.  So out we got (to her saying “Na you are so random) and had the best 30 mins taking some awesome photos with some awesome skies and awesome props ( think I am using awesome too many times in this post).

Hope you like these Kath and we will definately be going on more excersions.

Till next time
Na xx
