Sudo Summer Collection Photoshoot {Brisbane Commercial Photographer}

Back in March this year I received an email that I think made my year!  Now don’t get me wrong, I love ALL my clients that I do commercial work for but when I received this email from Sudo asking me to shoot their Summer Collection I think I nearly fainted.  Sudo is a massive brand within the children’s clothing industry and you can check them out here.  They had seen the photos from the Peekaboo shoot and loved the models, the location and of course the photos (well I hope they did).

The Sudo team flew up from Melbourne to shoot the collection and I have to say we had 2 pretty good days with weather and awesome models.  The weather on day one was perfect however on day 2 it was VERY sunny and you should of seen the Old Post Office – we had sheets hanging from everywhere, diffusers going, backdrop stands up – anything to get that sun off our models.  I think in the end we did pretty well.  The Look Books will be out soon to distributors and I have been told the collection images are already starting to appear all over the place.

Thank you also to Maureen for helping out on Day 1 with the styling of the kids – you were awesome!

Below are some of my personal favs from the images the team chose (have given them my own editing flavour) however the below link will allow you to see some of the images from the collection that will be in the look book!

Stay tuned for some other commercial shoots to be blogged soon!

Rod n Lil Family Shoot {Brisbane Family Photographer}

A few weeks back now I had the absolute pleasure in meeting this adorable family. From the moment we spoke on the phone I just knew we would all get along so great. Natalie is the owner of Rod n Lil so will also be using these images in her commercial range (we killed two birds with one stone!). We met down on the Gold Coast on what was going to be a potentially rained out session however it held off and we got to capture some magical images – and I think the highlight of the day was definitely the bubbles. The kids were just SO well behaved and I could really feel the love the have for their parents – I think you will also feel the bond that they have – just beautiful.

{Nat, it has been such a pleasure meeting you and your beautiful family – I truly hope we keep in touch and I wish you much success with your business – sorry to take so long with this blog post!}.

Lastly please excuse that the images are not centered on my blog. I will be working to fix this but I have decided I would rather showcase my images like I used to rather than worry about if they are centered etc.  To my linear freak friend – I know you will be ok lol.

Till next time

Loving La Toriana {Brisbane Commercial Photographer}

Yesterday I was so lucky to finally meet the adorable Elizabeth, owner of La Toriana. I have been doing some photography for Liz over the last few months for her website and just knew we would get on amazingly – and we did. Elizabeth is up in Brisbane for a conference so we thought it would be a great opportunity to meet up and of course organise a divine photoshoot with some divine models. So yesterday we headed to Daisy Hill and had a fantastic time shooting some new clothing which Liz is selling through La Toriana. The weather was VERY overcast but we still managed to have a great shoot. If you have kids make sure you drop in to her website/blog. She sells the best quality designer brands and name brand clothing, gifts, toys and accessories.

Also want to give a shout out to Ah-Tissue (link here) who supplied the Pom Poms for the shoot and also Linda from Bubble & Sweet who supplied the yummy party food and styled it so beautifully. Also a massive thanks to Fiona – you were awesome, got some amazing images and played Mr Puppet so well : )

This is just a quick sneak peak but will have a blog post up by Sunday morning!

Till next time

Dina & Sasha Part II {Brisbane Wedding Photographer}

I have to say I am LOVING these photos. It is always fun seeing how you can transform a photo from a pretty nice photo to one that is going to make the client go “wow” (well you pray they will). The formal shoot for Dina & Sasha’s wedding was definately an interesting one. They wanted to do their photos at the Woolsheds and we got plenty of wool this day! When we got down there, we realised there was a MASSIVE festival going on – determined to get photos there we found parking and made the best of the situation! How surprised do you think we were when a flock of sheep walked past – and what is with the man wearing the “funky” outfit – so would that be a wolf dressed in sheeps clothing – mmmmmm!

Anyway needless to say we had a fun afternoon and finished it off with a coffee in the local coffee shop! We then made our way down to the Gold Coast to George’s on Paragon for a fun reception – it was seriously like nothing I have seen before and the emotion even got me!

{Dina & Sasha – thank you again for choosing me as your photographer. It has been wonderful getting to know you and I hope to keep in touch and even photograph that beautiful family you are going to have one day! Oh and don’t forget a move to Springfield Lakes is a good move lol}

Till next time
