Beautifulness

When I get asked by other photographers to do their personal photography I always get incredibly nervous.  When Kylie asked me to capture this special time in her families life I was nervous, excited and totally honored that she would ask me.  You might remember that I did her family shoot around a year ago (I think it was that long ago – wow time goes fast)!

Kylie brought her family to Springfield Lakes and I am glad she did as we  were able to get some beautiful shots using my beautiful field with beautiful light!

{Kylie thanks again for asking me to capture this time for you – you know I am always totally honored and can’t wait to photograph bubs – oh thats right your a photographer so I am sure you have that down pat lol}

Laura & Chris’ Wedding Day

Two weeks ago I had the absolute pleasure of photographing the long awaited wedding of Laura & Chris.  Laura actually booked her wedding back with me what feels like forever after we met at the shopping centre!  I don’t even remember how we got talking but I remember she was pregnant and had her son in the trolley and we instantly hit it off.  I did her family shoot and then she booked me for her wedding – and I am so glad she did.

Laura & Chris are such a beautiful couple and their wedding day was such a reflection of this!  As mentioned above the also have two beautiful kids and they were very much an important part of their day!  The wedding was held at Springfield Lakes and was perfect in every way.  I also got to bump in to my favorite celebrant Kirstine from Angel Celebrations – if you are looking for the best celebrant in town you must meet with her – I can’t speak highly enough of Kirstine!

Well I think I will just let the images do the talking!

Kylie & Kris’ E-Shoot

As some of  my regular readers would be aware I have been a very unmotivated blogger lately and you will also notice that my site looks different again.  As much as I really liked my “old” site I just didn’t feel like it was really me and I was maybe trying to be something I wasn’t!  So here I am back with my lovely black background (that is for you Deb!) and I think it really does showcase my images much better.  Anyho – back to blogging!

A few weeks ago I did the E-Shoot for Kylie & Kris. They are getting married on Saturday at Topiaries and I can’t wait to shoot their wedding.  Although they were a little nervous to begin with they quickly warmed up and we were laughing and having a lot of fun by the end of our shoot (not that you can by their images they were nervous – they were actually VERY relaxed with each other).

I plan to get back in to the blogging and have a number of shoots to blog including some other eshoots, commercial shoots and weddings!  Had two beautiful weddings on the weekend which I can’t wait to share!

On a personal note I am SO EXCITED……….we booked tickets to America in February to go to the WPPI  and also spend some time in New York, LA etc.   I am also getting a shoot done in Central Park with one of the most amazing photographers and can’t wait to share.

Hope you like the “new” blogsite!

My Beautiful (very pregnant) Sister {Brisbane Maternity Photography}

Yesterday I spent the afternoon with my absolutely gorgeous pregnant sister – she is 37 weeks and just looking divine.  We went up to Mt Tambourine for her shoot- this is what she had to say about it on msg to me this morning “gorgeous location, stepping in dirty water, getting nudged by a horse, getting rocks implanted in my shins, getting dirty feet in scary lane way and freezing my nips off on a mount top – but it was SO worth it” LOL.

I am going to be there at her birth with camera in hand and I just can’t wait – if you haven’t seen it before have a look at her last birth which has actually had over 4000 views on You Tube

Kathy – I loved our shoot yesterday and just spending time together was beautiful.  Love you so much and can’t wait to meet Little Mr xxxxxx

Gorgeous Newborn-ness {Springfield Newborn Photography}

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of meeting this gorgeous little man for the first time! Although we didn’t get ANY sleepy shots we did manage to get some lovely photos with his family including his grandparents who had travelled from Germany to come and visit!  And like always I had fun playing with little “Miss” who I have to say is warming to me more and more every time I see them!

I am trying very hard to catch up on my blogging as I would really love to be up to date by the time wedding season hits which really is now. I currently have a wedding every weekend for the rest of the year!  Crazy times.  Don’t forget about our Fathers Day competition we are running and also look out for Peekaboo Magazine which comes out in a few weeks!
