Tara & Kenny's Wedding Day {Currumbin Wedding Photography}

How lucky am I – I get to spend my weekends with some of the loveliest people! And this day was no exception.  A few weeks ago Tara married Kenny – and what a wonderful day it was.  Tara was surrounded by her family while getting ready for her special day and I have to say she is one of the most relaxed brides I have had.  Even when she had dramas with her wedding dress and the  wedding car broke down on the way down the Coast, she remained calm, picked up her mobile – and called a cab to take her to the ceremony. Can you believe they wanted to charge her $220 – crazy!  Of course that didn’t happen and everything turned out great!

The wedding ceremony was at Currumbin Beach and was attended by close family and friends!  After the ceremony we had a fairly quick formal shoot (makes it a lot quicker when there isn’t an entire bridal party to work with) and got some images that I am sure Tara & Kenny will treasure forever.

{Tara & Kenny – you know how I feel about you guys – I think you two are just a match made in heaven and I am honored to have shot your wedding.  I can’t wait to get the privilege again one day – more babies perhaps lol?}

Oh and Part 1 Part 2 weddings will be no longer – I am finding it hard to keep up with my blog as it is so I am just cutting down and trying to do more in Lightroom – for photographers interest all images in the getting ready shots/wedding are straight out of LR – I love editing in PS but just can’t justify the time for all images!

Shooting another beautiful wedding tomorrow – Laura & Chris – so stay tuned.

Till next time

PS – my blog is still not “fixed” so please excuse the badly centered photos – updates to website coming soon hopefully.

Laura & Chris' E-Shoot {Springfield Lakes Wedding Photographer}

How excited am I – I am shooting my first wedding at Springfield Lakes, I am shooting a client that has become a good friend and I am shooting with the gorgeous Sheila Higgens!  As you know I do a lot of sessions now at Springfield Lakes but I haven’t done a wedding there and I have SO many ideas of things I would like to try and I can’t wait to use my “field” to get some beautiful bridal shots – totally excited.  And I am excited that I get to share the day with such gorgeous lovely families.

I have been a very bad blogger (or a very busy photographer – one of the two) and thought I had better get their eshoot up before their wedding day!  We did their shoot a few weeks back (yes at Springfield Lakes) and we had such a nice afternoon together.  These guys were just so relaxed (guess it helps that we have become friends too) and I am sure they spent 99% of the time laughing which is so great to see. Laura & Chris also have two beautiful children together so was nice to get some lovely family shots of them too (and we had to keep them contained – there is a lake nearby)!

I hope you enjoy these photos and look out for their wedding images which will be blogged hopefully this century (I have 10 or more sessions to blog ekkkk).

Till next time.

My Gorgeous Gorgeous Friend and her Gorgeous Gorgeous Family!

I have a massive tone of blogging to do and I was waiting until my website is “fixed” but I just HAD to blog some photos from my family shoot with my gorgeous friend Kylie.  Kylie and myself have been friends for around 2 years now and I really am lucky to have her in my life.  As most of you might know she has 2nd shot for me at some weddings and although we are going on our own “paths” now I just know that we will be life long friends and I truly wish her all the success in the world.

Anyway enough of the soppy stuff – Kylie is definitely a beach girl but wanted something different for her family shoot.  Although I am a little “tired” of Springfield Lakes, I do know it well but always discovering new spots which I love.  Kylie decided to be kind and not make me travel down the Gold Coast and opted to do her shoot here.  And I am SO glad that we did.  Kylie really wanted casual photos which really represented them as family.  And I think we did just that!

Kylie – I hope you love this sneak peak. There are SO MANY more great ones which I promise to blog and tell the story of our little shoot together. Thank you also for my beautiful gift – perfect.  Chat soon gorgeous friend with the gorgeous family xx

Till next time

Greg & Jocelyn's Wedding Part II – Brisbane Wedding Photographer

As promised here is part II to Greg & Jocelyn’s wedding at Mt Tambourine.  We were lucky to find the most lovely backdrop and even though we only had 45 mins for our formal shoot I think we worked it pretty well!

I will also only be posting weddings with one part from now on – blogging is very time consuming and after this weekend I have weddings every week so blogging will have to take a back step.  i will still definitely be blogging but won’t be in 2 parts and won’t be as many images!  But keep checking in as I have a backlog of 10 shoots to blog and many more coming up!

I am having some changes made to my website too – my slideshow will have thumbnails active and we are working to give me more space to place images – stay tuned!

Thanks for your support x

Not sure what this haze is around Greg – it is on the original image – just confirming  ;  )

Greg & Jocelyn's Wedding Part 1 – Mt Tambourine Wedding Photographer

Last night I visited Greg and Jocelyn to view their images with them! I am so pleased that they love them as much as I do.

As mentioned previously I have made a decision to wait until my couples view their images with me first before I “show the world”…..a decision I am very happy with. Nothing better than seeing their expressions when viewing their images for the first time.

Thanks again to Kylie and Susan for capturing these images of Greg and his parents!

Till next time
