Jo & Duncan’s E-Shoot
A few weeks ago I did the e-shoot for Jo & Duncan. It was such a lovely afternoon spent with 3 lovely people – Jo, Duncan and my gorgeous friend Maureen! It was such a beautiful afternoon and the light was just glorious.
Duncan brought out his guitar to star in the shoot as this is how he proposed to Jo – with a song that he wrote himself – so sweet.
I am shooting Jo & Duncan’s wedding in November and really looking forward to spending more time with this gorgeous couple.
Till next time

Read More »Bec & Dave Get Married…….
Two weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing one of my most fun loving and down to earth couples EVER. From the moment I met Bec and Dave almost a year ago I knew this was going to be one fantastic day! Bec had been planning her wedding for a while and was really going for something very different – and that it was. The wedding was held in the lovely Boonah. I have never been to a wedding like it and it will be hard for any to top theirs! The ceremony was full of lots of laughs, family and friends (and their puppy), handfasting, throwing of some shoes (which I am sure the Mums loved doing), some pepper, spice and honey eating and mmmmmm I think that is it!
We got to spend some time after the ceremony doing some “formal” shots and I have to say these two just could not keep their hands off each other. No posing was required (yes Dave you were a big poser), they were just so comfortable with each other and made our job so easy. To end the day they had two amazing fire performers – Kylie got the winning shots there!
I also want to say a big thank you to Kylie Eather for coming and helping me out on the day. Was so much fun to finally hang out with you and I think you would agree that it really didn’t feel like “work”!
{Bec and Dave, I hope you love your blog post and was great seeing you again today – mwah x}

Dina & Sasha's Wedding Day – Sneak Peak
On Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of one of my fav couples ever Dina & Sasha. You may remember them from their e-shoot http://naomivphotographyblog.com.au/?p=4009 We had such fun on their e-shoot and their wedding day was no exception. We started the morning off at Dina’s house and was welcomed by her beautiful family as if they had known us forever. Dina’s brother was here from Germany with his wife (who was the bridesmaid) and his 4 GORGEOUS boys. Kylie spent the morning with Sasha and his family and I believe the reception there was also very welcoming.
The wedding was held at New Farm Park which I have to say is a beautiful location with gorgeous light. It was a very heartfelt service shared by family and friends who travelled from overseas and Melbourne to attend. After the service Dina and Sasha really wanted to go to the Woolsheds for their formal shoot – to our surprise there was a MASSIVE festival going on there with NO parking to be found – we eventually found parking and the afternoon was filled with surprises as you will see below. We were going to go to Kangaroo Cliffs however the bridal party – in typical European style – decided a coffee shop would be a great setting for the rest of their shoot and I think it was just what they all needed to warm them up as it was a freezing afternoon.
After coffee we headed down the Gold Coast to George’s on Paragon at Hope Island for their reception and all I can say is OMG – I have never witnessed such an amazing 30 mins into a reception – there was dancing and singing and oh so much love in the room! I was so full of emotion that I even cried – yep I am the world’s biggest cry baby.
I have decided that going forward I am not going to do my mammoth wedding blog posts until after my couples have seen their images with me. I know it is exciting to see a blog post a few days after the wedding however I want to be with them when they get to see their photos for the first time and witness the joy my photos give them! However…… I will still do a sneak peak but it will be a very small sneak peak! I have chosen images which really describe the day – full of love, laughs and unexpected moments! Oh and how funny is the last photo – now I know why it is called the Woolsheds lol.
I also want to say thank you to Kylie & Susan for assisting on the day! Can’t wait to share some of Kylie’s photos of Sasha and his family & friends!
{Dina and Sasha – what can I say – you guys know how much I adore you and I really do know that we will be friends for many many years. Your families are both beautiful and we thank them for inviting us in to their lives if only for one day. Hope you are having a wonderful time with your family and will be in touch soon xx}

A Special Boy's Naming Day
A few weeks back I had the pleasure of witnessing and photographing the naming day of a very special little boy. I photographed the wedding of his parents, Jodie and Jon last year so it was lovely to share in another special occasion with this family. The naming day ceremony was held in a local park and was attended by their family and friends! The celebrant was also the celebrant they had for their wedding.
Because I have so many photos I would like to share I thought I could do so in a slideshow!
{Jodie and Jon, thank you for having me be part of your special day! I know we will be friends for a very long time and I look forward to capturing many more moments for you in the years to come. Love you guys x}
