Shane and Lauren were married at New Farm Park and shared their big day with their two gorgeous little girls as well as having family travel from as far away as Scotland to take part in this important day. As a special surprise Lauren organised a bagpiper to play her down the aisle and after their gorgeous ceremony in the rotunda, we ventured to the wool sheds to get take some gorgeous formal shots. Shane and Lauren’s day was perfect from beginning to end and it was an honour to get to know them and witness their true love for eachother.

Shaun & Anna’s Wedding | Brisbane Wedding Photographer

This is another wedding I had the pleasure of shooting a little while ago and I’m so excited to be able to share a couple this gorgeous with you all?!?!? Anna and Shaun were married at Mt Coot-tha. What better place for a wedding right? The views were amazing and everything was so green and lush. This worked perfectly with the Scottish feel that Shaun and Anna had for their big day and honestly, I couldn’t think of a more perfect location for them.

Anna got ready at home in the company of her beautiful bridesmaid and parents. With hair styled perfectly by Hair to Be and make up done by the wonderful Erin Bigg Anna looked amazing! It’s true when they say your wedding day should be shared with those you love and cherish, and Shaun and Anna made sure they did just that. Not only did they share their day with family and friends but they also included their treasured dogs into the ceremony.

When thinking back to this wonderful wedding I can’t think of a thing that could have been done better. The entire day was one filled with love, emotion and much happiness and I’m so happy that I got to share in the joy of Shaun and Anna’s wedding day.

Ryan & Carly’s Wedding | Brisbane Wedding Photographer

There’s so much that I could say about Carly and Ryan’s wedding that I’m struggling to know where to start. It was one of those perfect days that leaves you on such a high. The whole day was nothing short of amazing and the love these guys have for eachother is obvious to anyone that spends time with them. They were so naturally comfortable around eachother that there was no need for us to direct or pose them for photos in any way.

Ryan and Carly were married on North Stradbroke Island (one of my fave locations!) Their reception was at the Stradbroke Island Beach Hotel which is also where Carly, her Bridesmaids and flower girl and page boy (cutest kids ever!) got ready. When it came to the ceremony Carly and Ryan were full of smiles, even when the incoming tide threatened to wash us all away. After the ceremony, we stayed on the beach for the formal shoot and ended the day with a slideshow of some of the photos shown at the reception.

I’m ever so thankful to Carly and Ryan for allowing me to be a part of their magical day, and I’m so excited to share some of their images with you. Also, a huge shout out to Motion Art who did the videography on the day and The Powder Room for Hair and Make Up.

Ricki & Brigitte | Brisbane Engagement Photographer

Why am I blogging Ricki and Brigitte’s engagement shoot today? Well, because I’m so excited about shooting their wedding this weekend. A little while ago I spent a few hours photographing Ricki and Brigitte and their very cute puppy at Springfield Lakes. We had a ball and I’m pretty certain their wedding day will be just as (if not more) enjoyable.

Ricki and Brigitte are getting married at The Scots PGC College at Warwick with a gorgeous intimate reception to be held at Brigitte’s Parents home. What a perfect way to spend my last wedding shoot of the year!

Schalk & Kara…An Engagement | Brisbane Engagement Photographer

I can’t help myself, I just have to share this engagement session with you all. We did the shoot less than a week ago, so today is only a sneak peek but you can bet your bottom dollar that this shoot will feature in a huge blog post not long from now. It was absolutely one of those shoots where everything just falls into place and is perfect. Perfect location, perfect light, perfect connection, perfect couple. It’s clear from these photos that Schalk and Kara are TOTALLY into each other. The connection between the two of them is unmistakable. I love that feeling of walking away from a shoot and just knowing that magic happened, right there! Obviously Kara and Schalk felt the same way because as soon as they saw their gallery Kara expressed their thoughts through a really lovely email…

Hi Naomi,
Wow! Schalk and I watched the slideshow last night and we were absolutely in love with
the photos and it was such a great moment in our relationship. It’s something we always
wanted to do and couldn’t have hoped for more beautiful photos. I am so happy that we
chose you as our photographer and you are a true inspiration.

Now that right there is what every photographer loves to hear and I’m so very happy that Kara and Schalk love their images just as much as I do. Bring on their 2012 wedding!

Greg & Jocelyn's (very very quick) E-Shoot

Last Thursday I think I did the quickest photoshoot ever – a total of 18 minutes and that included driving down another road! The photoshoot was the e-shoot for Greg and Jocelyn whose wedding I am shooting in July up at Mt Tambourine. The day started off pretty overcast (as do most days these days) and I thought it was going to be ok but then 10 minutes in to our shoot it started raining. Greg and Jocelyn were good sports though and were keen to stand in the rain for a few moments. It was also pretty cold up there so no wonder there was lots of snuggles!

Stay tuned for LOTS of e-shoots coming up – I have two this weekend and both couples are very cool and have organised lots of props (yahhh love props)!

{Greg and Jocelyn I hope you love these images we were able to get within the 18 minutes we were together and lets hope we get more sun on the day as I am sure “the road” is going to make for a perfect backdrop. Can’t wait until your special day}.

Rob and Kylie's Wedding {Brisbane Wedding Photographer}

Last weekend I was lucky enough to photograph the wedding of Rob and Kylie. Â I am actually friend’s with Rob’s mum Debbie who is also another Brisbane photographer so it was a real honor to be asked to do this. Â Although I have to admit being asked to shoot a wedding at 11:00am was Â little scary however as you will see from the photos I don’t think we had many problems – if I could get blue skies like this all the time I would do weddings at that time all the time.

Rob and Kylie’s wedding was really lovely and I don’t think I have ever seen a man so in love with his new wife. Â During the ceremony he just couldn’t keep his eyes off her or wipe the smile from his face – just like it should be.

After the ceremony we went down to the beach for some photos which was fun – you will know what I mean from the photos!

Kylie & Billy's Wedding Day {Brisbane Wedding Photographer}

The day was finally here – Kylie and Billy’s Wedding Day. After so much preparation and excitement, Kylie and Billy sealed their love with a beautiful ceremony witnessed by family and friends. I was lucky enough to have Adam Bolt from Adam Bolt Photography join me to shoot Kylie and Billy’s wedding and while he got some amazing getting ready photos of the boys, I hung out with Kylie and the girls and got some beautiful photos of Kylie looking just like a perfect princess. All my brides are beautiful, but Kylie was just out of this world stunning (I am not biased lol).
